We're back in the swing of things and it feels so good!!
We've had a great start to our school year and wanted to share what we're currently working on in the art room at all grade levels.
All students are working to create a safe and productive work environment for themselves and their peers.
KinderPrep: Students are learning about the art room and expectations in our studio.
K-2: We are practicing drawing from observation and learning about self-portraits.
3-5: We are learning about our different types of artwork that we will be creating in the art room this year.

- Skill-Builders: in which students are developing craft by learning the materials and practices of an art form.
- Practice & Experiments: testing out a new tool or medium on their own.
- Take Homes: special projects intended for quick take home
- W.O.W. (Wonderful Original Work): Fully finished, multi-day art projects designed to be the student’s best work (display pieces of artwork). Students are also learning to reflect on their work and process. Ask your student about HOW they created their piece of art.
