Hello from the Art Room!
Students have been very busy creating! Our Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd graders have been getting in the holiday spirit working on collages with a variety of papers and materials. Some are now working on "drawing from memory" in the form of family drawings.
Our 3rd-5th grade students just finished a chalk pastel skill-builder and are planning out and creating winter and holiday artwork.
To show off all the hard work from the last few months we have the Oskaloosa K-8 Winter Art Exhibit on display at Penn Central Mall in the north hallway between Maurices and Gardner-Collier Jewelry. You are welcome to visit the exhibit during Penn Central Mall hours (M-F 10 AM - 8 PM, Sat 10 AM - 6 PM, and Sun 12 - 5 PM). Come see all the fabulous artwork from our Oskaloosa art students. The exhibit will be up through December 19.
You can also see work from our K-2 students and a selection of 3-5 students in the form of paper chains that are decorating our downtown businesses. Take a walk around the square and peak in the business windows to see their handiwork and enjoy the holiday displays!
