With our 3-5th graders, we came back from break and jumped into our 3-dimensional unit, starting with a paper sculpture challenge. Students created with paper scraps and had to invent their own types of folding and cutting techniques to create a sculpture.
This week we're getting our hands dirty and experimenting with clay before we dive into our grade level projects.
Pre-K through 2nd grade have been creating some wintery paintings from snow flakes to snowmen.
Kindergarteners painted lines and folded paper to create symmetrical snowflakes.
1st graders have been working large scale on a mixed media project. They painted snowmen and collaged hats to create some super cute snowmen!
2nd grader have been painting snowmen scenes with liquid tempera paint. They're in the process of adding details and backgrounds.
Hope you all had a lovely holiday and your new year is off to a good start!
